The reigning premiers dropped their second consecutive match of the season, this time in a 73-68 loss to Mathoura.
It sees Moama in the incredibly rare position of sitting second last on the table ahead of only the Deni RSL team.
While Moama have fallen behind, it has allowed Rich River and Tongala to both make their moves towards the top of the ladder.
Both sides currently sit in the top three undefeated, after Tongala gained a 13 shot victory over Denilqiuin 83-70 in their round two match.
Rich River claimed the win against a local rival to strengthen their early season case, winning by 19 shots against City of Echuca in an 82-63 win.

Midweek pennant
City of Echuca has earned the first win of their premiership defence.
COE claimed a two rink to one advantage in their 63-54 win against Mathoura to move to fourth on the competition's ladder.
Moama have set themselves in second spot on the ladder after handing a 24 shot loss to Deniliquin.
Moama dominated with 80 shots for the game, but still only claimed two rinks.
Rich River is still on the hunt for their first win of the season, after the side suffered a 13 shot loss to top of the table Rochester.
