About 3.30pm on Sunday 26 April 2020, a 30-year-old man was driving on Pump Road, Moama, when he noticed another man, aged 35, driving a Nissan utility a short distance behind him.
Both drivers, who are known to each other, pulled over and exited their vehicles before engaging in an argument.
Police have been told the older man then allegedly produced a firearm from his vehicle and pointed it at the younger man, before leaving the scene.
Officers from Murray River Police District were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, about 11.15am yesterday (Friday 1 May 2020), police executed a search warrant at a home on Old Barmah Road, Moama, where they seized a number of items, including a Nissan utility, two firearms, and ammunition.
A 35-year-old man was arrested and taken to Moama Police Station, where he was charged with a number of offences, including use offensive weapon with intent to commit serious indictable offence, possession of unregistered firearm in public place, and intimidation.
He was refused bail and is due to appear via video link at Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Saturday 2 May 2020).
