Hosted by the Australian Fodder Industry Association and Elmore and District Machinery Field Days, next month's event caters to growers, contractors, traders and end-users in the fodder business.
With booths booked, new machinery at the ready and registrations rolling in, AFIA chief executive officer Paula Fitzgerald is readying herself for a large turnout this year.
“With irrigation and 45 mm of recent summer rain, the crop is looking fantastic for the machinery demonstrations, which are always popular,” she said.
“After the year that has been, we are really looking forward to a great day out in the paddock, catching up with our members and all those who contribute to the fodder industry.”
There will seven demonstrations across the day showcasing the latest machinery in the business, accompanied by commentary and a live Q&A.
The newest square baler models by Claas, Krone, Kuhn, Massey Ferguson, Staheli West and New Holland will all be on display.
“Berrima Engineering will give their latest hay rake a run, and Vicchem will demonstrate their latest application technologies,” Ms Fitzgerald said.
The demonstration site has undergone soil testing by Precision Agriculture and has been planted and fertilised with Dyna Dan sorghum thanks to Nutrien Ag.
The event will also feature trade displays, product launches, presentations and a panel discussion.
The Fodder Festival is on Wednesday, March 17 and will kick-off at Elmore Events Centre with breakfast from 7 am, in partnership with the Elmore Field Days Committee.
