Key outfits worn by late soul singer Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson, Madonna and other stars have been auctioned off.
Auction house Julien's Auctions confirmed on Saturday a pink sequinned evening dress that Franklin wore at a concert at New York's Radio City Music Hall in 1991 fetched $US7,500 ($A10,381).
Julien's staged the sale in New York as part of its "Icons & Idols" auction, which also saw clothing and memorabilia used by stars including Madonna, Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson and Eric Clapton on offer.
A tuxedo jacket worn by Madonna in the film Desperately Seeking Susan brought in $US100,000, while an electric guitar once owned by Clapton changed hands for some $US30,000.
A jacket worn by Michael Jackson on his Bad world tour in the 1980s was among the most expensive items, fetching $US300,000.
Franklin died of pancreatic cancer at her home in Detroit on August 16, aged 76.
