Leading Senior Constable Rod Brewis of Echuca police said the 23-year-old Echuca man was arrested at a Boothman St house at noon today after an arrest warrant was issued.
He has been charged with dangerous driving causing serious injury and other driving related offences.
The man was remanded in custody overnight to appear in Bendigo Magistrates Court tomorrow.
Investigators were told a male pedestrian was on the Campaspe River walking track between McKenzie St and Campaspe Esplanade when he was struck by a motorcycle about 12.15am on March 10.
The man in his 30s, who suffered head injuries, remains in a serious condition at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The motorcyclist also fell to the ground and nearby witnesses who came to help both men said the motorcyclist got back on his bike and fled the scene toward Campaspe Esplanade.Â
