“For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them.’’ Ephesians 2:10
Some months ago, a friend visited me. In our conversation, we came to the topic about the Christians today.
It was a good conversation, during which I told him that, “it seems the people in the world today are divided into two between Apple and Android”.
Yes, there is strong competition in the market today between Apple and Android technology. We have to admit the fact to ourselves that many of us are all affected by this technology.
Apple and Android technology are all robots that can control the mind and life of the human person and even the spirituality. I think the young people are the most affected by this robotic technology.
It has an advantage and disadvantage; it depends on how we use it. I think it is very nice to ask ourselves, ‘are you an Apple or Android?’
What about your spirituality? Are you an Apple or Android spirituality?
When Jesus Christ said to his disciples: “Go into the whole world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation,” this modern technology can be a great help. In just one click in this globalised world you are already connected to the whole world.
This modern way of communication is really important, most especially in communicating the gospel and in building relationships. But we cannot deny the fact that it can be also an instrument to destroy human relationship to God and one another.
We are God’s handiwork, not to become slave of what we have, but use them all for the glory of God. I think what makes us beautiful is not gadgets we have, but the attitude we have.
