The occasion recognised a century of ownership of the property ‘Woorak’, by the Eddy family.
The property was purchased in 1919 by Herbert, Morris and Harold Eddy and has remained in the family every since.
Direct descendants of the Eddy brothers continue to farm in the local area.
More than 70 people, including family, friends and neighbours gathered to take part in the centennial celebrations.

Last week’s picture and story about the Mathoura Railway Station proved a revelation for three local girls.
Sophie, Matilda and Katelyn Eddy were proud to learn that their great, great grandfather Jack Buckley had actually served as Mathoura’s station master, working out of the building.
Mr Buckley held the position from 1948 until 1953.

Congratulations to local lad, Alvin Cooper, on his performance representing the Picola District Football side in the recent interleague competition.
While the Under 14 team was outclassed by its opposition, Alvin’s skills in the ruck earned him the best on ground award.
The side also provided an enjoyable experience for Mathoura senior coach, Darcy Robinson, who was in charge of the youngsters.
Robinson said all the players made a contribution on the day which made for some good football.
