A field of 17 players took part in croquet on Wednesday, June 5.

There were four three game winners. Andy Davis had exactly the same score to both win the day on 26 hoops.

Faye Harrington had 25 hoops and Jill Tainsh had 24.

Two players who won two games with great scores were Lorraine Honeyman with 22 hoops and John James on 20.

Andy Davis had a great run with six successful jumpshots. Peter Whittakers had two jump shots and John Tainsh one.

On Sunday afternoon 12 players lined up for croquet.

Dors Peterson won the day with 24 hoops, just ahead of John James on 23.

The club welcomed Jan Hobson as a new player and it is hoped she becomes a regular fixture at croquet.

The numbers are looking better for the return match of the Border Challenge at Echuca/Moama on Friday, June 21.

Lunch will be provided by the Echuca/Moama club and it should be a good day.

Travel arrangements will be made next Wednesday.

Only eight players turned up for croquet due to the rain forecast on Wednesday.

Gwen Pearn was the only three game winner with 25 hoops.

Andy Davis had 21 hoops with two wins and also had a successful jump shot.

Brad Fawns ran a handy hoop-in-one.

Croquet players are encouraged to attend the tennis club’s annual general meeting at 1pm on Sunday.

Croquet play will start immediately after this meeting.

Committee members are reminded that there will be a meeting in the clubhouse at 2pm on Monday.

The croquet club’s AGM will be held on Sunday, June 23 at 1pm, following the usual barbecue at 12 noon.

Croquet player will start after the AGM, with an exception to committee members who will have a short meeting.

Teams have been organised for the in-club pennant and play will start on Friday, June 28.
