Toc score ‘A’ win over Dees

Tocumwal’s A Grade were the only Bloods’ senior side to walk away with the points after their convincing win over Jerilderie on Saturday.

Defensive plays were tight right along the court.

Final score was Tocumwal 61 d Jerilderie 33. Awards: Sherrene Thompson and Piper Hicks.

B Grade played well as a team and gave great effort but could not get there in the end. Final score: Jerilderie 42 d Tocumwal 39. Awards: Tamara Bate and Jacinta Brunskill.

C Grade also played well together and kept the Demons firmly in their sights all game, but were also unable to make up the difference. Jerilderie 39 d Tocumwal 31. Awards: Amanda Reid and Jessica Sutton.

The Bloods C Reserve started strongly and stayed close all game, but unfortunately weak passes meant lost opportunities. Jerilderie 16 d Tocumwal 14. Awards: Lynsie Reid and Jade Hocking.

There were better results from the junior Bloods with the Under 15s convincingly winning over their counterparts. Despite a close first half, the girls were able to work together to easily bring home the win in the second half.

Final score: Tocumwal 37 d Jerilderie 22. Awards: Tamika Mosman, Skyla Griffin, Cass Mosman and Abby O’Connell.

Under 13s once again smashed their opponents. With Jerilderie testing them in the first quarter, the girls game back out playing their own game and ultimately dominating the court.

Final score: Tocumwal 30 d Jerilderie 6. Awards: Jessica Bennett, Remmi Wardlaw and Hallie Burke.

Under 11s showed again that they are going to be a strong little unit in the years to come, with the girls showing fantastic leads and strong passes in their unscored game. Awards: Jemma Reid, Abigail Walsh, Mackenzie Loffler and Chloe McKenzie.
