The game against the Roos was crucial for the Demons for earning their spot in the top eight and it showed early as Jerilderie matched the Rovers in the first quarter only entering the second term two points down.
The second quarter saw the Dees score a couple of goals, but the backline was under a lot of pressure with the Roos extending their lead slightly to lead by nine points at half time.
Coming into the second half, the Demons struggled to convert on the scoreboard which allowed the Rovers to gain a handy lead going into the last quarter.
David Gregory and Sam Sleigh continued to display their good form throughout the day and Hayden Smith and Lachlan Watson were solid in defence.
Unfortunately, the Demons were unable to match the Rovers’ continuous pressure and the margin blew out.

It was a battle from the first bounce in the reserves with Jerilderie kicking with the wind and leaving Deni goalless at quarter time.
The Rovers answered back in the second quarter kicking a few goals to make it an even game at half time.
Harrison Curtin stood up and cleared the ball from the centre and Mitchell Goddard leading hard and taking some strong marks.
Jack Anthony and Joel Bryce gave plenty of run and had a lot of the ball.
After a back and forth game, the Dees and Rovers couldn’t be split at the final siren, resulting in a draw.

With both the Demons and Rovers thirds on even points, the game was expected to be very competitive and that’s what played out with the scores level at half time.
Deni started to run in the second half and broke the game open to win by 41 points.
Glen DiLullo and Charlie Simpson both found plenty of the ball, Ben Neessen controlled the clearances and Bailey Thornton and Riley Belling had their best game of the year.

A very slow start by Jerilderie’s fourths against a bigger and faster Deni side saw the Rovers kick seven unanswered goals in the first term.
Despite this Cruz Nash picked up several possessions and Jason Ray fought hard all day in the backline repelling numerous advances from Deni.
Lucy Simpson showed plenty of run around the ground while Angus Moloney and Matt DiLullo showed good passages of play at times.
Lachlan Wells marked well late in the last quarter resulting in a goal to end the game on a positive note.
