Rally proves to be a growing concern

By Riverine Herald

THE second annual Moama Historic Vehicle Club Rally was held on September 16.

Cars from the 1950s through to modern vehicles and everything from MGs, Morris Minors and Jaguars to Mustangs, Holdens and Fords all began their day from the Rochester Silos.

The event, which was full of cryptic clues, surprises and laughs, was attended by 29 cars with a total of 65 participants.

Committee member Kate Dixon said the event was bigger and better than the one held in 2017.

‘‘It was a successful day,’’ she said.

‘‘And we’re already looking to continue to build the event in the next few years to come.

‘‘It was a lot of work but a lot of enjoyment.’’

The results for the 2018 rally were: Overall: 1st Blair and Lauren; 2nd (on countback) Noel and Anne.

Section winners:

1st Scrutineering: Tom & Margaret. 1st Scatter Run: Matthew and Ronnie. 1st Reversing: Adrian and Anne. 1st Navigation: Blair & Lauren. 1st Treasure Hunt: Shane & Jodie. Most often lost: John & Sheree.
