The event will feature vehicles which have been meticulously brought back to their original condition or customised to their owners’ specifications.
Autobarn Echuca owner Matt Newton said vehicles from a variety of car clubs around the region would be on show.
‘‘The night is very non car club specific,’’ he said.
‘‘There are a few different car clubs around and their members don’t often get a chance to mingle with one another. This is a chance for those members to talk to people from other clubs (in a motoring setting).’’
The night is also a chance for motoring enthusiasts to catch up with their suppliers about what they want for their cars.
‘‘Car owners might want to talk for 15 or 20 minutes about the project they’re working on but they don’t have time during work hours,’’ Mr Newton said.
‘‘This is the chance to have that chat and show their suppliers ‘this is what you have been helping me with’.
‘‘The car owners would come in and buy paint and parts for their car but this is a chance to talk with our guys more directly and talk with other like-minded car owners.’’
Autobarn will be open on the night with some special prices on selected items.
A sausage sizzle, an ice-cream van and coffee are available on site during the evening.
Vehicles will be on show at the rear of Autobarn in Mann’s car park with about 80 cars expected to be on display.
Autobarn regularly hosts a car night during the daylight saving months. The previous one was in November and they are usually held every second month.
The nights also double as fundraisers, with proceeds in the past going towards various organisations and worthy causes throughout the Echuca-Moama area.
The car night starts at 6.30pm January 24 and will run for about two hours.
