IN A reflection of its flourishing reputation, Perricoota Pop and Pour Festival has received a $20,000 NSW Government grant.
The event has proven to be a hit with visitors and locals alike, featuring a wide range of quality food, drink and music from across the region.
Member for Murray Austin Evans said the funding would be used for a marketing initiative aimed at driving overnight visitation.
“Hosting events helps shine a bright light on Moama while putting more heads on beds, diners in our restaurants and shoppers in our boutiques and I’m delighted that Perricoota Pop and Pour Festival has secured a $20,000 NSW Government grant,” he said.
“Whether it’s food and wine events or music and sporting festivals, we know that events play an important role in driving additional overnight visitation to our region and help to create more jobs.’’
The Flagship Event Fund is part of the Regional Flagship Events Program, which includes three different funding streams.
