The pool is guaranteed to have something for everyone of any age.
‘‘We have programs and facilities to suit people of all ages and abilities,’’ EWMAC’s aquatic leisure and services co-ordinator Ash Crimmins said.
The facility offers programs and memberships for six-month-old babies to people well in their retirement, regardless of their fitness level and swimming abilities.
‘‘Learning to swim is an essential life skill for people living in our region,’’ Ash said.
The pool also has an extensive Group Fitness timetable including renowned Les Mills programs such as Body Pump, Body Attack and Body Balance and water-based classes or senior specific programs.
“The fully equipped Health Club at EWMAC attracts people of all ages and levels of fitness in a friendly and welcoming environment,” Ash said.
The club has a large variety of easy to use machines and free weights in addition to modern electric cardio equipment.
They allow users to set targets and track their workouts, as well as the entertainment features that allow the use of Netflix, YouTube and TV, so you won’t have to wait until you get home to watch your favourite TV show.
“Anyone who signs up for membership that includes the Health Club gets appointments with a qualified fitness professional to develop a program specific to their individual needs and ensure they are guided through correct workout techniques,” Ash said.
Memberships can be purchased on a casual basis for both the indoor and outdoor pools, gym visits and group class sessions.
