New management but same great service in Deniliquin

It might be under new management, but that’s the only change you’ll find at Scoop ‘n’ Brew in Deniliquin. The cafe, found in the Deniliquin Plaza off Hardinge St, still offers a range of new and traditional food and drink options, true to its beloved style.New owner Renée Huckin said the aim will always be to provide a comfortable, family-friendly cafe with quality coffee.‘‘We’re keeping it fresh and local,’’ was her message as she ground aromatic coffee beans, steamed fresh milk, and poured an array of drinks on Friday morning. Mrs Huckin is sourcing her milk locally from Riverina Fresh and is reaching out to suppliers in Finley, Echuca, Berrigan and surrounds to invest in the community and put local produce on the menu. While Mrs Huckin perfects her coffee, she is also gradually expanding the Scoop ‘n’ Brew menu to include more fresh items, lunch specials and flexible catering — and she hopes people are tasting the difference. And she said she can tailor new menu items to suit your tastes.Special recent additions included gnocchi and chorizo stir-fry, creamy coconut dahl, and twice cooked spaghetti bolognaise with pancetta and pork-beef mince. In with the new does not mean out with the old, however. You can still get Scoop ‘n’ Brew’s signature focaccias, sandwiches, ice cream and coffee.‘‘We’re not changing the menu completely, just growing it a little bit,’’ Mrs Huckin said.‘‘We’re building a new relationship with our customers — new and existing.’’Those interested in the catering service can call the store on 5881 6975 or pop in and talk to staff about what is on offer.‘‘We’ll work with you to put on the event you envisioned,’’ Mrs Huckin said
