UPDATE: 5.10PM - FIREFIGHTERS are responding to a two-and-a-half hectare grass and scrub fire in Echuca Village Reserve.

More than 10 CFA appliances are on the scene including a water-bomber and crews from Echuca, Echuca Village, Tongala and Yambuna.
A CFA representative said crews will be on the scene for the next two hours while a bulldozer arrives from Bendigo to clear scrub surrounding the fire.
EARLIER: 4.30PM -
Fire fighters are battling a grass fire in Echuca Village off River Avenue.
Ten CFA vehicles are currently on scene at the blaze which has burnt through three hectares.
The fire is not yet under control. A helicopter is circling the area.
