A MAN is behind bars over the burglary of a Cohuna supermarket last Sunday.

Bradley Brumby, 40, was arrested and charged after a car crash on the Murray Valley Hwy at Tresco on March 19, two days after the burglary at the King George St supermarket.
Detective Sergeant Patrick Bell of Swan Hill Crime Investigation Unit said Brumby was taken to hospital but later returned to the crash scene where he was arrested.
‘‘There were certain items in his car connected to the burglary,’’ he said.
Brumby, of no fixed address, appeared in Swan Hill Magistrates Court last Wednesday, March 20, where he was remanded in custody to appear on Thursday in Kerang Magistrates Court.
He is charged with burglary and theft.
Det. Sgt Brumby said police were still looking for a second male offender in connection to the burglary which saw two offices ransacked and a small amount of cash stolen between 4.30am and 5.30am on March 17.
Police have been told a white Mitsubishi Triton utility with a steel tray was seen at the back of the supermarket about 4am before the burglary.
