UPDATE 8:10PM: A Ballarat woman has died after her car ran off the road and into the side of the Post Office 3564 Café this evening.
Echuca Police Constable Lynden Goulding said it appeared the 62-year-old woman, who was driving a Mazda station wagon, suffered a medical incident before the crash.
“Unfortunately, emergency services were unable to help the female driver and she was declared dead at the scene,” Const. Goulding said.

6:55PM: Emergency services have closed the centre of Echuca as they battle to save a middle aged woman after the car she was driving crashed into the Post Office 3564 café in Hare St a short while ago.
It is not yet known how the crash occurred but police, ambulance and CFA units are on the scene working to get the woman out of her car and to hospital.
