The health census will be available online from next month at srcentre.com.au/ALC and is open to every household within the shires of Campaspe, Loddon, Mount Alexander, Macedon Ranges, City of Greater Bendigo and Central Goldfields.
People are encouraged to fill it out online but will receive a hard copy in the mail.
By completing the census residents will play an important role in helping Loddon Campaspe Region Councils, local health agencies, sporting clubs, community groups and Government Departments to better plan, develop and enhance recreational facilities and health promoting services to improve the future health and wellbeing of local communities within the region.
In 2014 the Active Living Census was a first for the City of Greater Bendigo.
The original census was completed by 17,437 people (16 per cent of the population) making it the largest response to any survey conducted by the City.
Most importantly it provided hard data which allowed Greater Bendigo to secure funding for a range of major recreational and health and wellbeing projects over the past five years.
It’s an opportunity now available to the whole region.
The 2019 census is being funded by Healthy Heart of Victoria, an initiative of the Loddon Campaspe Regional Partnership which aims to improve health outcomes for residents living in Central Victoria.
The Healthy Heart of Victoria 2019 Active Living Census will be backed by an extensive marketing campaign.
The survey will open from May 20.
