Big fun on mini course

By Riverine Herald

RICH River Golf Club wants to bring the fun to your family with their brand new mini-golf course set to open in several weeks.

Construction of the course is moving quickly with several holes nearing completion, following the laying of artificial turf.

The nine-hole course will be a ‘‘popular addition’’ to the club according to marketing manager Paul Lavars.

“We’re going to have lots of families here playing and it’s going to be fantastic,’’ he said.

“We want it to be exactly like a golf course.

“The idea is that it isn’t like one of the putt-putt courses where you are hitting through and around obstacles.’’

Aside from families, Lavars says the club is hoping to attract businesses to use the facilities for various functions.

‘‘We feel like it can provide a good balance between work and fun,’’ he explained.

‘‘The club has something for everyone.’’

The course is set to benefit users of all lifestyles with opening hours between 8am and 10pm each day, with lights to be installed at the complex.

Prices will start at $12 for adults, $9 for children aged 5-17, $6 for children under five and a family pass (two adults and three kids up to 17) will be available at $35.
