It was the message straight from the mouth of one of the most successful athletes in Australian history.

If a player was going to succeed, they couldn’t be cocky, but they had to be confident.

Lauren Jackson, arguably Australia’s greatest ever basketballer, told the guests of the Murray Business Network to be successful in sport, belief was key.

Four time olympian and former WNBA MVP Jackson sold-out the Rich River Golf Club in a question and answer session.

Jackson told incredible stories of her junior career, her times spent playing in Europe and the USA, as well as the knee injury which would eventually end her career.

Jackson also spoke openly about her goals to see greater support shown to women, not only in sport, but in wider Australian society.
