The local butcher’s cheese kransky, sweet chilli chicken kabana and crowd-favourite lamb burgers all took home first prize, with the team also scoring a few silvers and bronzes.
The annual competition starts at a regional level, with Echuca Meats now heading to the state round in November.
‘‘We’ll just enter the same products again in that one and if we win again, we’ll progress to the national awards,’’ Echuca Meats’ Tyler Hinck said.
‘‘We’ve got quite a few awards at the Sausage King Competition in the past few years.
‘‘The lamb burger is one that wins every year for us which is good, we must be doing something right. But the others have been first-time winners this year.
‘‘We all work hard as a team so it’s nice to get a bit of recognition.’’
So what’s the secret to a mouthwatering lamb burger?
