AN ECHUCA man accused of stealing two cars this month is behind bars.

Detectives arrested Will Groves on Wednesday in Goulburn Rd, near a stolen red Holden Commodore.
Detective Senior Constable Troy Wickham of Echuca Criminal Investigation Unit said the 23-year-old allegedly stole the vehicle, which was damaged, from a Stawell St residence on Monday, July 15.
Det. Snr Constable Wickham said Groves was also accused of stealing a grey Toyota Rav4 from the garage of a McBain Rd residence in Tongala on July 8.
Groves has been charged with two counts each of theft of a motor vehicle and unlicensed driving and single counts of failing to stop for police and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He appeared at Bendigo Magistrates Court yesterday, July 18, where he was further remanded in custody to the same court on Friday, July 26.
