"The owners have gone out for a bit and came back to find they were broken into," he said.

"It's pretty devastating for them."

A bungalow behind a home in Hovell St was also targeted overnight Saturday.

Det. Snr Constable Poulton said there was no sign of forced entry and nothing had been stolen.

He appealed to any witnesses or anyone who had seen suspicious behaviour to come forward.
