The woman was T-boned by a P-plater in a Commodore wagon at the intersection of Henderson and Finlay roads just before 3pm.
CFA rescued the woman from her car using the jaws of life after her car was slammed into the ditch several meters from the intersection.
A worker from McColl’s Transport said: “I knew that sound as soon as I heard it".
“It doesn’t happen as much here as you’d expect considering the way people come through here," he said.
McColl’s Transport used a forklift to remove the P-plater wagon.
