THE men played stroke for the monthly medal at Heathcote Golf Club on Saturday.

Brad Morgan won both division one and the monthly medal with 83-16-67.

Adrian (“how did he get into that division”) Goudie won division two with a score of 76-7-69.

Balls were won by Martin Sims 68, David Clouston 70, Daniel O’Neil 70, Brian Davis 70, John Morris 71, Willie Laird 71 and John Blundell 71.

Shane Morris scored an eagle on the 10th while Adrian Goudie and Ian Furneaux scored birdies on the 16th and David Clouston scored a birdie on the 18th.

Nearest the pin went to Rob Skidmore on the 13th; Adrian King on the 16th; Mitchel Hogg on the 18th in A grade and Super Pin; Brian Davis on the 18th in B grade; and on the 18th in C grade Rob Skidmore.

In the singles knock out Brian Davis defeated Gerard Ellis 4-3.

■ ON TUESDAY, April 2, a stroke event was held at Heathcote Golf Club with B. Pianta winning with a score of 75-10-65.

Ball winners were: B. Morgan, B. Wearne, J. Blundell, N. Batchelor, G. Boyes, J. Blundell and S. Morris. Nearest the pin went to B. Guan.

■THE ladies played stroke on Wednesday for the mid-week monthly medal.

The medal went to June Roberts who scored 112-37-75 with Carol Stuart finishing runner-up carding 94-18-76.

Daphne Hall took out nearest the pin on the 8th as well as the eagles nest while Carol Stuart was nearest the pin on the 18th and 2nd shot on the 18th went to Margaret Sims.

Margaret Sims won the putting competition on a count-back from Dot Trott with 32 putts.

■ THURSDAY’S competition was also stroke with B. Davis winning in A division and nearest the pin with 81-12-69, and T. Hunter winning both the B division and the monthly medal with 86-19-67.

Balls went to R. Clarke, C. Davies, S. Quach, E. Sage, S. Whitty, D. Osbourne and T. Schiels.

■ON SATURDAY, the ladies played a stableford event for the monthly medal with Margaret Sims taking home the prize scoring 38 points off a handicap of 34, from runner-up Heidi Pianta-Cook who scored 31 points off a handicap of 45 on a countback from Kelli Obst. Sue Green won nearest the pin on the 18th while Tristen Wearne scored a birdie on the 2nd hole.

Saturday, April 13: Qualifying round for the mixed knockout. Ladies and gents are requested to choose a partner to enable this competition to proceed.
