There were six rinks in action last Wednesday with players participating in a game of scrounge.
Once again, the club was fortunate to have several City of Echuca bowlers in attendance, as there were 24 people in total.
On the green, a couple of fresh faces showed exciting potential and registered top scores.
Kevin Fell controlled rink one to manage a healthy 54 points for a win ahead of Belinda Chong (44).
On rink two Tom Davis returned to the winners circle after scoring 45 points to shade Phillip Cunnington on 34, while Christine Fell (48 points) made it a family double by winning rink three, two points from Marie Malone.
Mary Atkins displayed excellent form to take home the rink four trophies with an amazing 52 points with Jill Young next best on 29.
Don Smith held all at bay on rink five after producing a well compiled 38 points to head off Denise Gilmore on 32.
On the final rink Ian Johnson was again on song in scoring 49 points and withstanding a persistent Ray Hanson (45).
The game of Scrounge will continue on a Wednesday (weather permitting), starting at 1.00pm.
The Campaspe Valley Bowls Division (CVBD) are convening a special meeting on Thursday July 25 at the Rich River Golf Club Resort to update the current CVBD constitution.
All clubs are to discuss the alterations and attend this important meeting.
