The Tigers trailed by eight goals at the third change, but recorded a remarkable turnaround to get up 89 to 88.
The Tigers had eight players kick majors with Cadeyn Williams and Steven Stallion kicking three each, while John Lucas also bagged a couple.
Tigers coach Josh Noonan said it was an incredible match citing self-belief as a contributing factor to the comeback.
‘‘It was almost two games in one,’’ Noonan said.
‘‘For the first three quarters we were ordinary but then everything clicked.
‘‘I can’t really remember what was said at (three-quarter-time) but I just tried to get the boys to believe in themselves and know what they’re capable of.’’
With Numurkah and Tungamah going down on the weekend, Cobram moves into second, only behind Echuca United on percentage.
Noonan’s side take on the Eagles in a fortnight, but he said his side would be fully focussed when they faced bottom side Katandra at Scott Oval next weekend.
‘‘It’s the old cliche really, we will just worry about this weekend and try and carry over the momentum from the last quarter (against Rumbalara),’’ he said.
‘‘We just want to continue to build confidence heading into Echuca United.’’
