A concert showcasing the region’s finest pianists will take place next week as part of the biennial Playing for Pleasure recital series.
The concert is presented as a partnership between Riverlinks and the Australian National Piano Award which takes place in Shepparton every two years.
The Playing for Pleasure series was first conceived when the Eastbank Steinway grand piano was purchased in 2004.
Riverlinks’ performing arts and conventions manager Ken Cameron said next Sunday’s recital would be a great afternoon of wonderful music.
‘‘Every year, local musicians, music teachers, students and others who share a passion in piano music take the opportunity to perform on the Steinway,’’ Mr Cameron said.
Playing for Pleasure is at Riverlinks Eastbank on Sunday, May 19, from 2pm. Entry is by gold coin donation and no bookings are required.
