FORMER Leitchville-Gunbower, and current Collingwood VFL and Echuca footballer Marty Hore has added another string to his bow, as he pushes for possible AFL selection in 2019.
The gun defender has been selected in the VFL’s Team of the Year in the back pocket, after another outstanding season in Collingwood’s VFL side.
With a series of injuries impacting the Magpies at AFL level, their VFL team has been stretched to cover those called up to the seniors, leaving more work for Hore and his VFL teammates.
The Pies got through to the finals despite the stressful season, before falling to Essendon in the elimination final.
It’s been a great few months for Hore, with his recent inclusion in the Victorian state draft combine opening the door for his possible selection to an AFL team this year.
And on his form of the past two seasons, which also includes winning Collingwood’s VFL best and fairest in 2017, it’s safe to say a few clubs will be having a serious look at Hore for 2019 and beyond.
