TR has not only claimed the 2019 Southern 80, but has done so in style.
The team finished the 80km stretch of the Murray in the incredible time of 29 minutes and 22 seconds.
It wiped a staggering 21 seconds of the record set by Southern 80 icons Hellrazor in 2015.
Team captain and observer Nathan Miller was highly emotional at the finish line, breaking down while celebrating his team’s achievement.
“We knew we could run around the thirty, and we knew we could perform at the level required to win,” he said.
“But to get this time is almost surreal. I was looking at the splits as we were going through and I thought I must have started my watch wrong because we couldn’t have done that time. It’s honestly unbelievable.”
Miller said the team had felt like they were a shot at winning for weeks.
“We’ve been doing really solid times in our trials down the river, we’ve kept to ourselves and just given it our best, and this was the time for us to win.”
Fellow Superclass boat Arkham Asylum joined TR and Hellrazor as the only teams in history to run sub 30 minute races, finishing in a time of 29.56.
Local favourite Mistress, piloted by Zac Welch for the first time, won the unlimited inboard category in a record time of 30.11, not only taking more than a minute off the category record, but finishing 12 seconds faster than their overall winning time from 2016.
UPDATE 1.18pm:
TR has won the Southern 80 with a record time of 29 minutes and 22 seconds with Arkham Asylum in second place (29.56).
More to come.

UPDATE 8.45am:
In the first news of the day, Judge is out of the race this afternoon.
It has been replaced by Superman but will still be racing at Unlimited speed cap. Pigs Arsenal is believed to be out altogether.
Superman will have the same skiers and observer as Judge, just with Superman's boat and driver.
UPDATE 8.30am:
Racing is underway in day two of Southern 80 racing.
EARLIER:
WITH racing about to get underway in the second and final day of Southern 80 racing, authorities are once again reminding racegoers to stay safe.
Police will be out in force across Echuca-Moama all weekend and are taking a zero tolerance towards drunken or anti-social behaviour.
The Murray River will be closed to the public during race times from 6am-7pm to ensure safety for both competitors and spectators. Do not enter the water at all on race day.
Inflatables are not permitted on the river. People are asked to keep a close eye on any inflatables if you’re spectating from the riverbank. If unsecured, inflatables will cause a hazard and could potentially stop the race, which has happened in recent years.
Campers are asked to remember fire safety and be aware that it may be dangerous to set up camp, park your car and picnic under trees as limbs can fall unexpectedly.
Drivers are also reminded that Warren St is closed as part of the Echuca-Moama bridge project which will prevent direct access from High St, Echuca to the Murray Valley Hwy via Warren St.
The route from Torrumbarry to the Vic Park Finish Line in Echuca now involves a detour via High Street and Ogilvie Avenue, which means travel times between Torrumbarry and the Finish Line will take longer and there will be more congestion.
