ECHUCA’S A grade netballers, as they will tell you themselves, just need to keep winning.

On paper, at least, this shouldn’t be an issue for them tomorrow in round 14 of the Goulburn Valley League.
Tatura head into this match with one victory on the season, hardly an opponent who would put a lot of fear into the hearts of an opposition side.
But we’ve seen this before — when Echuca took on Mooroopna earlier in this season, a match we thought they were a near certainty to win.
It was not — the Bombers weren’t playing anywhere near their best at the time and it caused a somewhat unexpected loss.
We think they are out of their funk at this point of the season, so we have less worries about this game.
But we’d also like to see them dominate just to prove it’s all behind them.
■ ECHUCA UNITED finds itself in a battle for top spot in the Murray Netball League with Moama and Rumbalara while the competition’s other teams are seemingly just making up the numbers.
Nathalia — who currently sit outside the top eight — is one of those teams.
With a week’s rest, United are primed for a final season run where they look like they shouldn’t be beaten.
There could be some rustiness early but once they get going, the Eagles should be far too good.
A big victory of close to 40 goals is set to be on the cards.
■ MOAMA is playing Numurkah, a side which has won one game for the season.
Oh boy, this is going to get ugly.
This match is simply going to be a training drill for the Mowers.
The only question we have is whether this is good for their upcoming clash with Rumbalara.
The Mowers were surprisingly beaten the last time they played, so will need to be at their best for the clash.
And they could do with a bit harder preparation than this week’s match.
That said, it will be a very nice per centage booster.
■ TONGALA is still trying to find its place in the 2019 season.
As we’ve said before, we have high hopes for them in the next few seasons, but its hard to really get a read on where they are this year.
Congupna, this week’s opponent, is one game ahead, so this match will be helpful to get a read.
If the Blues get the win, it’s a good sign they are comfortably in the 6-10 bracket of the competition, which would be a good result.
We are hoping for a close game, and hopefully a victory for Tonny here.
■ LEITCHVILLE-GUNBOWER’S hopes of playing finals in the Heathcote District Netball League this season are extremely thin.
Lose against Heathcote and the task becomes almost impossible.
The Bombers will enter the clash as favourites having comfortably accounted for the Saints earlier in the season and we expect them to get the job done once again.
Last week’s victory against LBU gave them to a vital four points.
■ LBU will not be in action this weekend after their round 14 clash with White Hills was rescheduled as a season opener on April 6.
■ MATHOURA is in a difficult spot heading into the final four games of the Picola and District Netball League season.
The Timbercutters currently sit two wins outside the top eight and face a difficult run home starting with second placed Katamatite on Saturday.
Even if they don’t play finals this season, Mathoura can use the next four weeks to take big steps forward into 2020.
Coach Rohan Starkey has made it clear the little wins matter and stealing a quarter or two could be massive.
