In the first game against a strong Bundoora outfit, Charlie Mundie benefited from some strong play through defence and slotted our first goal of the day.
He then lifted an impressive lob over the keeper from distance to give us a 3-1 lead at half-time.
The second half saw Bundoora peppering the goals, with Toto Ajiboye proving a real headache for the opposition attackers.
Unfortunately the boys ran out of legs late in the second half to be narrowly defeated 4-3.
Our second game saw outstanding team play and pressure on the opposition, Swan Hill Soccer League.
Brothers NJ and Ethan Anthony ran riot, pressuring the ball and scoring goals at will, guiding the team to an 11-0 win.
Our defence, led by Mason Bayley, Flynn Gilbert, Marco Maxwell and Zach Anthony, were impressive throughout the day, setting up attacking plays and providing plenty of drive.
Our final game saw us up against Shepparton South Soccer Club with the boys starting slowly, trailing 3-0 at half time.
Toto, again, was amazing as goalkeeper, making a diving save.
Some inspiring and positive second-half play through the midfield of Patrick Barry, Luca Wilson and Fayo Ajiboye provided silver platter service for Charlie and Ethan to score and level the game at 3-3 with minutes remaining.
Unfortunately, Shepparton caught us on a counter attack in the dying seconds of the game, which saw us fall short at 4-3.
It was an outstanding achievement by all the boys, working hard all day and never giving up.
