Magpies def Blues 7-4 ~ Jack Bassett 3 wins.
The scribe heard that Murray (Muzza) Heather led Jack Bassett by 2 sets to nil but couldn’t go on with it with young Jack prevailing to win in 5.
A bit more training for Muzza in the preseason might have helped. There were also a lot of other close matches, well played by all.

In the close match Hayley Bennett had to beat the more experienced Ray Hawkins but fell just short 13-11 in the 5th set.
Congratulations to Andrew, Will, Harry, Jack and Theo who all recorded a win or 2 on their 1st night.
