Wodonga Raiders 22 defeated by Yarrawonga 55.
Up to the physical challenge. A slow start to the game saw a young Raiders outfit jump to a lead of 6 goals early in the first term.
With the composure and maturity of Kylie Leslie and driving midcourt of Laura Irvine and Jaclyn Oswald, this provided the attack end with numerous opportunities to peg back the difference and settle into a new combination.
An extra defensive rotation allowed fresh legs in Annalise Grinter and Hannah Symes to come on and provide ample turnovers, too good for their goaling opponents.
Pinpoint precision feeding and drive from Laura Davis all day allowed a speedy combination of Sharni Hazelman and Sarah Senini to focus on shooting, a very impressive 55 goal haul against a physical and undisciplined defensive duo.
Best: Laura Davis, Kylie Leslie.
