Wodonga 3.2.20 defeated by Yarrawonga 6.7.43.
The boys were outstanding against Wodonga on Sunday to get their second win in a row, while showing good signs leading into some big clashes over the next couple of weeks.
Axel Saunders and Rhys Driscoll worked hard all game providing plenty of run on the wing and in defence, both playing their best games of the year.
Cooper Clark was a rock down back, rebounding at centre half back, while Ollie Tresize and Noah Runnalls competed hard as always.

Under 14s
Wodonga 8.5.53 defeated Yarrawonga 4.7.31.
Wodonga got the jump on Yarra in the first quarter kicking 3 unanswered goals.
Levi Saunders stood out in the first quarter with some strong marks and a couple of big runs, moving the ball deep into the forward line.
Archie Jaques was also working hard in the backline, holding up many Wodonga attacks.
The 2nd quarter was a big turnaround with the Yarra team kicking 3 goals to Wodonga’s 1.
Baxter Donovan was moved to the full back position where he dominated his opponent with some strong marks as well as taking advantage of his ability to kick the footy a mile, he cleared the ball repeatedly from the back line.
On the other end of the field Jobe Fraser had a sensational 2nd quarter with some strong leads and greats marks.
Jobe kicked 2 great goals to get Yarra back into the contest.
In a tight 3rd quarter, Wodonga got the better of Yarra extending their lead by 2 extra goals. Will Thompson really stepped up, throwing himself into the contest and collecting many hard earnt possessions.
Bayden Sage also stood up when his team really needed it, getting his hands on the ball and applying pressure to the Wodonga forwards.
The 4th quarter was a very close contest. The Yarra boys peppered the goals many times but just couldn’t quite get the ball through the big sticks.
Gus Saunders had a great quarter, taking some strong marks and after being moved into the ruck, gave his team mates first use of the ball from the ruck contests.
Both Xavier Mitchell and Mitch Tyson had cracking games, they consistently had the ball in their hands throughout the whole match and gave their team mates up forward plenty of opportunities.
A great effort by the boys but unfortunately, they could not quite match it with Wodonga, going down by 22 points.

Under 16s
Wodonga 13.14.92 defeated Yarrawonga 4.8.32.
Yarrawonga Under 16’s travelled to Martin Park to take on the Wodonga Bulldogs on Sunday.
The boys slightly undermanned with injuries it was going to take a good solid team effort to upset the Bulldogs on their home deck.
The boys started off well but the Bulldogs proved too strong and ran away with a convincing win.
Goals: Axel Doherty 1, Xavier Walker 1, Geoffrey Montgomery 1, Nate Williams 1.
Best: Darby Mullins, Lachlan Dwyer, Xavier Walker, Memphis Bramich, Axel Doherty, Cooper Lonergan.
The boys will need to bring their A game this week as the Pigeons take on Lavington at home.
