Jared Brennan will call Violet Town Recreation Reserve home this season, the 173-game AFL player joining the Towners from Price's former club Henty.
Brennan, 35, played just 10 games last year but still claimed Henty's club best-and-fairest award, and Price is excited to have the electric star on board once more.
“We're absolutely stoked, to get a bloke with the quality and experience of Jared is great for the town both on and off the field, he's a huge asset,” Price said.

“It's certainly created plenty of excitement at the club.”
Brennan will link up with other former teammates at Violet Town this campaign — including Will Farrer and Jake Roe-Duggan — and is expected to play more than half of the regular season.
“(Brennan) is still super fit and really covers the ground as he always has over his career,” Price said.
“He played 10 games for Henty last year and won the best-and-fairest comfortably, we're expecting about that same output from him this year.
“He's excited and he gets the opportunity to play with Will and Jake who he played in a premiership with at Southern Districts (in the NTFL) a few years ago, he's looking forward to it.”

Since losing the 2017 grand final the Towners have won just seven games, but Price and the squad he is building are confident the club can turn that around — starting with a round one clash against Shane Crawford-coached Ardmona.
“It's a big year for the club in its 125th year and we want to make sure we're really competitive after a couple of (down) years, we really want to play finals,” he said.
“We feel like the side we're putting together is going to be competitive against most other teams in the comp straight away, but we know we're coming from a long way back.

“We're just looking forward to getting the team together, we'll probably play our best footy in the second half of the season because we've brought so many new players in and it will take a while to get used to each other.
“I'm new to the comp, but it's very well known that Ardmona has struggled for a few years now, but to have a guy like Shane Crawford coming in they'll improve out of sight. We certainly won't be taking them lightly, that's for sure.”
As well as adding top-liners like Brennan, Farrer and Roe-Duggan, the Towners have also looked to build depth and sustainability in the club by targeting former locals.

“From a team perspective we've brought in a few ex-locals, guys like Pete McKay and Jake McPherson and that's been great, Harry Sleigh's from the area as well,” Price said.
“It's good to have players who either played juniors at the club or have some connection coming back into the fold.
“That's been a big focus for us, obviously we've brought in some A-graders, but we have to focus on that depth as well (if we want to be successful).”
