Every day my girls surprise me with another story of how someone in the community has asked about me or wished me well.
This journey is and has been emotional for me and my girls, sometimes even tearfully. But every time I hear the stories of the well wishes from the people in the Cobram community, it gives me an uplifting boost to my determination.
With that said, there isn’t enough space to thank all the individuals for their well wishes.
The recent fundraiser showed me just how selfless this community can be; a special mention for Trudi Haswell and the Bottom Pub, and to all those businesses that donated gifts or contributed to the event.
Words cannot describe the emotions I felt when I was told of this event; more than one tear was shed by me and my daughters.
I’d also like to add a very personal thank you to all those who on the day of this accident administered first aid and comfort. For your efforts, I’ll be forever grateful.
Finally, to Dylan from the Cobram Courier for following this story and his very personal letter, you described my family with respect and accuracy. Thank you for your comments and commitment to the local community.
So, to everyone in the community, from emergency workers to family, friends and total strangers, thank you for your efforts and well wishes. You have inspired me.
