Another accident has been added to the long list of collisions on Campbell Rd, after emergency services were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection with Pullar Rd on Saturday.
“One vehicle on Pullar Rd went through a give way sign and collided with a vehicle travelling on Campbell Rd,” a Cobram police Acting Sergeant Tania Hall said.
A spokesperson for Ambulance Victoria said paramedics where called to the scene with three people taken to hospital in stable conditions.
“A man in his 40s was flown by the air ambulance helicopter to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with leg injuries,” the spokesperson said.
“A primary school-aged girl was flown by the fixed wing plane to the Royal Children's Hospital with an arm injury.
“A second man in his 40s was taken by road ambulance to Goulburn Valley Health with minor injuries.”
The incident comes less than two months after safety upgrades along Campbell Rd were announced by road safety blackspot program.
The upgrades, which will include instillation of splitter islands, improved signage and street lighting, are set to happen at the intersections with Parnell Rd and Healy Rd, but not the intersection with Pullar Rd.
There was a two-car crash at the intersection in March, with both drivers able to leave the scene with injury.
