Australia Day Schedule
7.45am: MC Jack Norris to announce Welcome to Country by Uncle Rick Ronnan.
7.55am: Mr Norris welcomes everyone, accompanied by the flag-raising ceremony by 301 Army Cadet Unit Echuca, and the national anthem sung by Drew Walker.
8.05am: The flyover of historic aircraft, Echuca Aero Club, with commentary.
8.10am: Mr Norris gives the main welcome to all guests, including the mayors from both Campaspe Shire and Murray River Council, and Australia Day ambassador Neil Soullier OAM, chief executive officer and founder of the Blue Ribbon Foundation.
8.15am: Mr Norris to introduce the citizenship ceremony.
8.50am: Introduction of Mr Soullier, who will speak for approximately 15 minutes.
9.05am: Mr Norris calls on Teresa Carlson, president of Echuca-Moama Rotary Club, to thank Mr Soullier for his address.
9.15am: Presentation of Australia Day Awards from both shires.
9.35am: Acknowledgements from Ms Carlson for guests and group attendance and contributions to the celebrations, and invites community to continue with activities.
11.30am: Gumboot-throwing competition with prizes behind the Soundshell.
1pm: Skatepark competition with prizes, sponsored by Fearless Echuca.
