Santa will be doing some serious multi-tasking on Sunday when he joins the Echuca CFA for a two-hour event at three parks in town.

Echuca CFA captain Rob Amos said he had been in constant dialogue with the jolly old gentleman in recent months and has now booked Lions Park on the Campaspe; Apex Park on the corner of Leichardt and High sts and Central Park playground in Pryor St, Echuca East.
Cr Amos said Santa would be at each location between 10am and 12 noon on Sunday.
He said Santa would be bringing his favourite fire truck and any girls and boys who could claim to have been well behaved all year would get a chance to hop on and have a look.
“It’s the first time Echuca CFA has staged a Christmas lolly run and we thought we would go the whole hog and put on three at the same time,” he said.
“Every child attending will receive a separate treat and get a shot in the fire truck.
“It’s a free event, funded by the CFA with generous support from Coles and Woolies — and money raised by the brigade — and we would be delighted to see as many youngsters as possible join us on Sunday.
“But those coming to Apex Park; try not to forget the fire truck will have to be set up in the car park as there is no entry big enough to be inside the fence.
“So please keep an eye on your children as the youngsters will be excited and wanting to run around.”
Cr Amos also asked all parents to make sure they park very carefully at all three venues because there would be children running around and we need to ensure everyone is safe.
“The other thing that would be a big help for everyone; is if families could stagger the times they will turn up at one of the parks,” he said.
“It will make it so much easier to handle any peak periods if we can spread visitors across the two hours.”
