NSW Roads and Maritime Services are currently considering a request for a Speed Zone review in Honour Avenue, Corowa.
The request is to extend the 60 km/h zone from 250m north-east of Gordon Street to the Federation Bridge / Corowa Saleyards roundabout.
As part of this review, Federation Council is undertaking community consultation to seek feedback about this proposal.
Federation Council Mayor, Cr Patrick Bourke said road safety education is an important function of Council as it aims to reduce the likelihood of deaths and injuries from road trauma.
“In this instance, Council is seeking your feedback about the proposal to extend the 60 km/h zone in Honour Ave which is one of the busiest access roads to Corowa.”
“Council is inviting residents to take a few minutes to provide feedback about the Speed Zone review which is being accepted until 5pm, Friday 6 September 2019. The quickest way to do this is by completing the online survey available from Council’s website www.federationcouncil.nsw.gov.au”, he said.
Alternatively, feedback can be provided as follow;
• In writing addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 77, Corowa NSW 2646,
• Email to [email protected],
• Complete the online form available from Council’s website,
• Submit in person at any of Council offices.
