The Deniliquin Ute Muster team attended the award ceremony, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney last week, and came home with silver in the Festivals and Events category.
While it's not new for the famed Deni Ute Muster to win awards, Ute Muster general manager Vicky Lowry said she was still overwhelmed at being recognised by Tourism NSW.
“We were happy to take the silver, especially since the Muster hasn't won anything in a while,” she said.
“It's a great feeling to win knowing all the hard work everyone puts in to make the muster possible.”
The last NSW Tourism Awards nod for the Deni Ute Muster was a bronze.
The event was a finalist in the same category last year, but the award went to the Elivs Festival in Parks.
The Ute Muster brought home a state gold award in 2012.
The Muster contests the state finals most years, based on its success at the regional level.
It has numerous gold awards from the Riverina Murray Regional Tourism Awards, including this year and last year.
The Deni Ute Muster was one of five Murray region award recipients from the state awards.
The others are based in Albury, Moama and Mulwala.
