The Deniliquin Bowling Club’s annual Classic Pairs tournament finished with brothers Nathan and Matthew Wilson standing tall at the weekend.
The Wilsons - from Altona Bowling Club - took on Blackburn's Neville Brown and Mulgrave's John Lynch in the final.
The brothers started the match beautiful, picking up consecutive 'twos' to lead 4-0 after two ends.
Brown and Lynch managed level the scores on the third end, scoring a 'four' to bring the score to 4-all at the half-way mark.
The Wilsons bounced back with a 'four' of their own however, before closing out the game with a 'one' and a 'two' to record a dominant 11-4 win in the final.
The weekend saw 66 teams of two take to the greens of Deniliquin Bowling Club, Deni RSL Bowling Club and Mathoura Bowling Club on the Saturday in a round robin format.
The finals were played on Sunday at the Deni Bowling Club and RSL Bowling Club with the final 16 playing knockout-style six end games.
On the Friday it was Shepparton's David Daws winning the single knock out tournament, defeating Tom Lester (Bendigo East) in the final.
