Three players won their three games with John James winning the night on countback from Peter Whittakers, both scoring 26 hoops. Binnie Whittakers also did well with 22.
Three players won two games with 20 hoops or more. Judy Barry had 22 hoops, while Leo Barry and Brian Dudley each scored 21.
There were eight successful jump shots. John James had four and Tony Bull and Brian Dudley both had two.
Eighteen players took to the courts on a warm Sunday morning.
Several players pulled out because of the heat and other commitments.
There were no three game winners but four players won two games.
Peter Whittakers once again missed out on a win after a countback saw Andy Davis declared the winner, with both men on 22 hoops.
Ray Moye and Brad Fawns also scored well with 21 hoops each.
New player Faye Druitt ran a handy hoop-in-one and Darren McLoughlin had four successful jump shots.
On a cool Wednesday morning 12 players lined up for croquet. Two players won their three games and had an equal score of 23 hoops with Fay Harrington and Brad Fawns sharing the win.
Two game winners with good scores were Mary James 24 and Darren McLoughlin 22.
Darren also had three successful jump shots and a hoop-in-one.
The Challen Cup competition will be played on Sunday and will continue to be played on the first Sunday of each month.
It will be normal doubles play for everyone, including all new players.
The committee meeting will be held at the clubhouse on Monday, March 9.
The social day is planned for Wednesday, March 18. Entries from several Victorian croquet clubs have already been received so the club is expecting a good roll-up.
Playing times remain 8.30am for 9am start on both Sundays and Wednesdays, while Thursday evening croquet is 7pm for 7.30pm start.
