Pete Gibson, Shirley Allott, Dianne Mackrell and Meryl Wilkinson will entertain harp enthusiasts from around the district with their expert strumming and plucking.
Pete and Shirley are members of Harper Bizarre, an organic group of harpists who meet regularly for fine music and epicurean delights.
Under the direction of central Victorian harpist and harp maker Andy Rigby, the group has expanded its repertoire beyond Celtic and Latin-American music to encompass multiple styles.
Meryl is a Bendigo harpist, singer and composer who enjoys playing a variety of music, but is especially drawn to the beautiful melodies of traditional Celtic music and the charm of early music.
She has also recorded two albums which included some of her own compositions.
Dianne is an accomplished lap harp player from Euroa who plays the hammered dulcimer and is also a member of singing group ‘Vocal Nosh’.
The group welcomes anyone interested and harp enthusiasts of all standards to the Echuca Uniting Church from 2pm to share musical experience and encouragement.
