The band will be taking to the stage to raise money to purchase medicine for animals in bushfire-affected communities in Victoria.
But they can’t do it without the support of the community, and Lou said he and the band were hopeful of seeing plenty of people at the track.
“It’s heartbreaking to see what people and animals have gone through,” he said.
“The money we raise from the event will go straight to supporting the animals in Gippsland, but we can’t do it alone.
“It would be great if people could come down and support it, it’s a fun event at the trots and is the perfect way to start the weekend.
Studio 31, consisting of Lou, Mel Williams, Jim Dunham and Nick Stock, will play late into the evening after all the racing finishes.
“It’s a small thing we can do to help those affected communities, and something we as the Echuca-Moama and district community can support.”
Lou said there will be a raffle on the night to raise money and called on the support of local organisations who may be able to assist.
“If there are sponsors that want to donate goods, services or anything similar it would greatly appreciated,” he said.
“We also want to thank everyone who is currently supporting us in putting on the show.”
There is also set to be a waterslide and ice-cream van on site which will make for a family friendly atmosphere.
Patrons will be asked for a donation at the gate to cover entry.
