Some 120 people attended the event, where Ms Morris spoke about her three books, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, Cilka's Journey and latest release Three Sisters.
Three Sisters is the story of three young sisters that vowed to stay alive during their time at Auschwitz.
When the camp was liberated, the sisters moved to Israel.
Ms Morris explained how when she was in South Africa, she received an email from her daughter telling her that she had been contacted by a gentleman from Israel, whose grandmother and her two sisters had survived the Auschwitz concentration camp and had a story to tell.
Ms Morris flew to Israel and sat down with the two sisters who were still alive and listened to the story of their time in Auschwitz.
Ms Morris’s research team completed many in-depth historical searches through the archives to obtain birth and death certificates, as well as any remaining information that was required to confirm their story.
Since the release of The Tattooist of Auschwitz, the book has sold more than eight million copies, has been released in 55 countries and translated into 35 different languages.
Cilka's Journey was released in 2019 and has sold over two million copies and again has been released in 55 countries and translated into 35 languages, and tells the story of Cilka from the first book.
Three Sisters, since its release in October, has been in the top 20 books sold Australia-wide and will be translated into other languages and released worldwide in 2022.
