The showground was full of people enjoying a variety of entertainment and food on Sunday, with an excellent crowd in attendance.
The show offered tantalising entertainment from balloon animals, face painting and even a mechanical bull, which proved to be popular.
The 121st Annual Show was opened by Berrigan Shire Mayor Matt Hannan who congratulated the committee on an enjoyable event and stressed the importance of agricultural shows during times like the local area is currently experiencing.
Among attendees was The Land 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Showgirl Stephanie Clancy, who helped with congratulating and presenting awards throughout the day.
During the opening, show president Neville Dalgliesh gratefully acknowledged the financial support from Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network which enabled the Berrigan Show Society to provide free entertainment at this year’s event including the Kids Zone, performances from Professor Wallace’s Puppet Theatre, and Walter Whip and the Flames, the Hay Ho Animal Nursery, Inflatables R Us, Cheeky Smiles Face Painting and Henna Tattooing.
The day also saw the presentation of the junior show judging and pavilion awards.
For the first time in seven years, the Berrigan Show Society has announced a Berrigan Showgirl.
Chantelle Gorman was announced as the winner at the 121st Berrigan Show on Sunday.
Chantelle was presented her sash by 2019 The Land Sydney Royal Easter Showgirl Stephanie Clancy.
The 21 year-old is a farmer based at Savernake, and is looking forward to both personal and professional development from the showgirl program, as well as the networking opportunity it presented to meet like-minded young women.
Miss Gorman will represent Berrigan at the Zone Final to be held in Finley in February 2020.
This is the first Berrigan Showgirl since 2012.

Berrigan Agricultural & Horticultural Society Inc secretary Lyndall Horne believed the show’s overall success was due to community support and funding to provide entertainment.
“Our aim was to provide a day out for families to relax, to socialise with one another, enjoy the facilities of our community, and to take a break from the impacts of drought on their businesses.
“We feel it was important to ensure all members of our rural community have access to a fun, family day out at our annual Berrigan Show.”
The Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) of NSW Agricultural Shows Award was presented to Des Gleeson.
The RAS of NSW vice president and Sydney Royal Easter Show ringmaster John Bennett attended the Berrigan Show to present the award.
Mr Gleeson has been involved in showjumping at the local event for more than 50 years.
He competed when Berrigan hosted the NSW Showjumping Championships in 1978, and broke the Australian puissance record, jumping the brick wall at a height of 7 feet and 5 inches.

The Agricultural Societies Council of NSW vice president and Group 9 Delegate Jill Chapman presented these certificates.
A certificate of appreciation was also awarded to Jim and Judy Evans, who have been attending the Berrigan Show for 45 years as trade exhibitors with their food stall.
