The group of 45 Sunland caravan owners from across Australia gathered in Echuca in November last year, spending almost 10 days at Rotary Community Park.
During that time, the group injected about $45,000 into the local economy, enjoying local attractions including golf, bowls, paddle steamers, local wineries and restaurants.
But before leaving, the group wanted to give a parting gift.
"They were very generous around town already but said they wanted to give something more back to the community," Rotary Community Park director Greg Hansford said.
"They asked if we had any ideas and we suggested donating to ERH's cancer and wellness centre.
"All up, they managed to raise $2182 from their small group.
"The Rotary Club of Echuca Moama would like to thank Wayne Talbot, the organising committee and each and every member for their generosity, not only to ERH and the Rotary Club, but also to the community."
ERH director of nursing June Dyson said she was blown away by the donation.
"We'll be able to do over and above what we were planning thanks to donations like these," she said.
"This will make such a difference, particularly for our patients."
ERH chief executive Nick Bush said the hospital would receive tender documents from architects on September 19.
"We have five companies submitting plans and costings to design the building," he said.
"Once we decide who will be the architects, we'll hopefully have them meet with patients, staff and doctors in November to decide what the centre will be like."
